Update on 2nd March 2022:
In light of the recent easing of Covid restrictions in many areas of life, the elders met together this week to prayerfully consider our current practices in MCF. We have agreed together on the following steps:

  1. From this Sunday, mask-wearing will be a matter of personal choice. There is still guidance from government which encourages the wearing of masks in certain indoor settings. But we are suggesting that this is something you should make your own individual decision about. We expect that some of you will choose to continue to wear a mask for all or some of your time at church, while others will choose not to wear a mask. We want to encourage everyone to be gracious to those who make a different decision to your own.

  2. For now, we will continue to leave some space between groups of chairs. However, over the coming weeks we intend to gradually decrease this space to increase the capacity of the main hall. You may notice some seats being set out in larger groups, so that those who are happy to sit with others can do so. In the cafe, we will continue to allow plenty of space between seats, for those who wish to be more cautious.

  3. From this week, registration for church is no longer necessary. We will be putting the marquee up again this weekend and it will be available as an overflow once we reach capacity in the building. Self-serve tea and coffee will be available in the marquee if you bring your own cup! The stewards will no longer be checking off names etc, but will be available to welcome you and help you find a seat. Registration will also no longer be necessary for creche. Adventurers and Bible & Banter will continue with registration on WhatsApp for now.

We are aware that some of you may find these changes too slow, and others may find them too fast! We would continue to ask for your grace and patience as we seek to make wise decisions in complicated circumstances.

Our desire is that everyone attending our services would feel welcome, feel safe, and be able to worship God with freedom and without distraction.

“Therefore if you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any common sharing in the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind. Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others. In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus…” (Phil. 2:1-4)
